Philip Assan, a software developer from Sekondi-Takoradi, is 25 years old. He left school to pursue his love of technology and his interests in it.

Philip Assan revealed during an interview with Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa morning show, that he was accepted to the University of Development Studies, Navrongo Campus after studying agriculture at Sekondi College.

He claims that even though he picked computer science to pursue and hone his aptitude, he was rejected and instead given the option of studying biology.

He abandoned the course at Level 300 after three years due to a lack of interest.

I had no interest in studying biology, yet they insisted I do it. I have a deep love for technology that dates back to my early years. I had originally intended to pursue computer science at the university, but circumstances changed that. I recognized I was studying biology in the wrong field after three years, so I chose to drop school so I could pursue my ambition,” he said.
